With no credit card bills to pay, mortgage loans to take care of and wailing babies to attend to, a youth’s world is an oyster, so full of carefree nonchalance and simple pleasures.
Well, so you say you have too much homework, have no freedom to do as you fancy, and have myriad parent-, teacher- and friend-related problems to deal with. But you forget the good things that come with being a youngster, too.
Why, you could snigger with chums at an IT-illiterate adult while you create your own blog and upload your own podcast at the sheer click of a mouse, enjoy long school breaks, get stuff at concession rates and get away with quirky styles (most young people could just about pull off any funky hair-dos or cool attire, unlike more matured folks). The list goes on. Do we need more examples of how it pays to be a youth?
Anyway, enough of all the rambling. In conjunction with and to celebrate Youth Day, YC has came up with a wacky platform – just for this Sunday only – for you to showcase what it means to be a youth with a certain passion for life.
We received an overwhelming number of entries and have short-listed some outstanding ones to be featured here. So boys and gals, geeks and chicks, devour this space and see if your or your pals' entries have been selected. Have a blast!
